Thorpe is named after the artist John Hall Thorpe, whose early-1900s paintings inspired its dense floral layout. Drawn and coloured in 1968, its flourishing design evokes the classic style of ‘30s Liberty florals.designed for Liberty Fabrics in 1933. Like Betsy, it was created by the designer with the initials DS. It has been part of the classic Tana collection since 1979.
