This commemorative pattern offers a visual journey through 150 years of Liberty’s archive, encompassing key aspects of the store’s rich history.
From traditional paisleys to modern geometrics and signature florals, a total of 57 designs each capture a unique moment in time, reflecting the diverse styles that have defined the store across the decades.
The newly introduced Retold collection is composed of four chapters, with "A Celebration" representing Act I: The Stage.
Act I: The Stage
In 1875, Arthur Liberty opened his first shop, and soon after established the Tudor-style building on Great Marlborough Street.
In this first act, you are invited to peer into visually captivating shop windows and step into a world of theatrical magic. Liberty’s flagship store, with its grand atrium and surrounding galleries, forms the perfect stage for this performance. From fabrics sourced around the world to rare and curious objects, a rich variety of treasures come together to bring the scene to life.
2025SS Retold - 150TH ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION
For Spring Summer 2025, you are cordially invited to join Liberty Fabrics as they raise the curtain on Retold, a theatrical anniversary spectacular. In celebration of 150 years of Liberty, they take us behind the scenes of the iconic Tudor building and into the eclectic emporium where the story is retold. As the lights go up and the stage is set, be transported to a world of magic, mystery, and charm!
