Based on an Art Nouveau artwork discovered in Liberty’s archive, this striking design of tulips and leaves embodies the concept of a “partial repeat.”
Hand-drawn sections are selectively colored and placed alongside pencil-drawn and “unfinished” areas, acting as a preview of the final composition.
Bold, vibrant stripes introduce a dynamic approach to color blocking, while dramatic positive and negative shadow effects create a distinctly modern aesthetic.
